Seoul Trip November 2012 Day 2 Evening

November 12, 2012  •  1 Comment

We walked through Bukchon Hanok village which preserves old style Korean houses (Hanoks). This photo contrasts the old with the new. (Click on an image for a larger version).

Bukchon Hanok village Continuing a long day, we stopped off to look at the Lantern Festival, held on the Cheonggyecheon Stream in downtown Seoul.

Seoul Lantern Festival This stall is selling small lanterns. People can float lanterns on the stream for luck.

Lantern stall This depicts the most popular children's show in Korea and there was a small crowd in front of it. Christine does the voice of the small bird at front centre.

There were many of these - here are just a couple of others.

All I can say is "Alan, you really know how to capture the subject" and sincerely mean it.

Favourite is the capture of the building behind the fruit bowl images. Shame it's portrait, so therefore ... the dragon is my background

That little bird looks nothing like Christine, but ... that's just my view ;)

Keep up the good work
